Building Inclusive Learning Experiences
This course was created to explore and demonstrate how accessibility and inclusivity can be intentionally woven into instructional design. Developed in Rise 360, it reflects not only foundational principles—such as Universal Design for Learning, the POUR framework, and WCAG guidelines—but also my personal growth as a designer committed to creating equitable learning experiences. Through a blend of historical context, practical application, and reflective practice, the course highlights the importance of designing with empathy, clarity, and consistency.
Rather than present accessibility as a checklist, this course is framed as a journey—one that I invite the learner to take alongside me. It includes multimedia lessons, accessible design artifacts, and reflective insights that reveal how even small changes can remove barriers and create meaningful impact. In sharing my process and revisions based on peer feedback, I aim to empower others to view accessibility as an evolving, human-centered commitment. The course closes with a call to action, encouraging learners to carry this mindset forward.
